Spring 2026 Course Conditions Update
The Quail Ridge grounds crew has been hard at work preparing the course for the 2026 season. Here is what to expect when you tee it up this spring.
Spring has arrived at Quail Ridge, and our grounds crew has been working tirelessly to get the course in top shape for the 2026 season. Here is a quick update on current conditions and what to expect as the season gets underway.
Fairways & Rough
The fairways have come through the winter in excellent shape. We completed our spring aerification and overseeding in late March, and the turf is recovering nicely. Expect some minor disruptions in a few areas as the new seed establishes, but overall fairway conditions are very good.
The rough is filling in well and should be at full density by mid-May.
Greens
Our putting surfaces are rolling smoothly and are currently running at approximately 10 on the Stimpmeter. We will gradually increase green speeds as the season progresses. Our greens crew has done an outstanding job managing the transition from winter dormancy.
Bunkers
All bunkers have been freshened with new sand and raked to perfection. We made some minor structural repairs to several bunkers during the off-season to improve drainage.
Water Features
All ponds and water features are full and looking beautiful. The water hazards on holes 7, 12, and 16 are particularly scenic this spring.
Opening Day
We are targeting an opening day in mid-April, weather permitting. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates on course conditions and opening day announcements.
We cannot wait to see you on the course!
